This Sudurus and “Masticha” begleri is a distinctive handmade piece that combines two different types of old Egyptian beads, creating a unique visual and tactile result. Vintage Sudurus beads and “Masticha” beads have long been used in the making of komboloi and begleri, valued for their durability, rich colors and traditional character. The combination of these historic materials with sterling silver 925 fittings gives the begleri both elegance and balance.

The begleri consists of 2 Sudurus beads measuring approximately 15.2 × 23 mm. These larger beads stand out as the central element of the design and feature a warm yellow tone that contrasts beautifully with the rest of the composition.

They are complemented by 5 “Masticha” beads, with dimensions ranging approximately from 12.2 × 15 mm to 12.9 × 14.2 mm. These beads display tones from deep red to orange-red, creating an interesting color harmony together with the Sudurus beads.

The sterling silver 925 accessories add refinement and visual balance to the piece while also enhancing durability. The silver details create a subtle contrast with the warm colors of the beads and highlight the traditional character of the begleri.
